Religion -  Our last unit talked all about how we should always TRUST in the Lord. This week we will be moving on to learn about how God gives us COURAGE. Courage to do things that can be tricky or hard, courage to try something new, and courage to stand up for what is right. Gideon will be the first story we explore to see how God gave him courage to overcome a hard time.

Memory - This week we will keep working on The Lord's Prayer. 'Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thine Name. Thy Kingdom Come. Thy will be done. On Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into tempation but deliever us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. ' We will practice it everyday, but if you could also practice at home - that would be great!

Spelling- Each week we will focus on a red word (sight word), more info about why we call them Red words will come home later. This week our word is - you/has/black.

Writing - This week we are going to work on labeling our pictures to add more details. This will help us to begin creating sentences for the stories that go along with our pictures.

Math - We are going to continue our study of numbers, moving on to numbers 11-20.

Reading - This week we will discover and explore all the different parts of a book. Spine, front cover, back cover, glossary - what can all those things do for us as fabulous readers.

Social Studies - We will be working in Science this week.

Science - Pushes and Pulls! This is always a fun unit to explore how things move!
